Often people complicate their lives by thinking too much which comes as a self imposed roadblock to progress. Instead of wondering about doing something and dreaming about it happening they should show up and get in action. Of course planning is required to do anything and setting up goals helps to find the path but over thinking about it makes it even worse. Just as the phrase goes "Do not die Wondering!" It is true that thinking seems to be an easy way out where we read a couple of books and we start thinking a bit more and we wish our work to be done like a miracle. But it can never create any fruitful results unless you start working and do less of pondering.
Every one out of three men wishes to have a great body and they spend huge time scrolling through YouTube videos, read books on body building and read work out articles, but they do not show up and get a membership at the nearest gym. Similarly girls are forever in a tendency to speak about diet, learn homemade tips to get slim, learn calorie burning exercises yet do nothing to actually get toned up. What this does is use up your mind and energy for nothing and she becomes hungry again which reverses her willingness to get slim.
It is this over thinking that makes fairly simple things into extremely complicated situations. For example it is almost every day that we see our friends falling for somebody of the opposite sex or probably from the same for some specific people. But they keep on wondering whether to tell it or not in the fear of rejection. Few of them like to live in a dreamy world where they think of getting together with their crush but just sit and not let their heart out which makes them miss a lifetime chance. Thinking can never replace action and this need to be realized by one and all.
All the progress in life can only happen in real life and not in the imaginary world inside them minds of people. This requires going out and interacting with people, Socializing and exchanging thoughts rather than lying down idle with random and extreme thoughts engaging your mind and wasting your precious time. Clubs, parks, and malls seem to be the perfect place to help moving on from delusional thoughts and indulge in something interesting. A least that keeps people busy with conversing to others and in a way pushes some action towards productive results.
It is always wise to follow the mindset of a tennis player who would not think of anything other than his present shot while playing. It is required to trust your spontaneous intuitions and not over think things than as much mind it requires. For an instance somebody deciding about to start a new hobby and keep on doing internet searches will only provide her more options every time and create a more problem to select one. Instead take a moment think about what you would like to do and go live it at the present otherwise you would forever be stuck at the same level inside an imaginative world.
